Recent work uncovered old work by Arthur Robertson (dec) of his father's country at Tintjirra, where the Karlaya (Emu Men) came to perform ceremonies.

When he did this in the mid 1990's I sat with him and all the other artists, to write the names of places and what happened there directly onto the panels the community commissioned. They were happy times in our little home in Warburton, and very productive. I miss Arthur and even fondly remember the freshly shot kangaroo the deposited on my toyota out there one day. It was left there to bleed out and the aftermath baked into white paint that was never the same again.

In our new China catalogue we will be including a lot of this information with photographs of the glass panels by Arthur and Taparti Bates.
