"Senior Warburton artist Lalla West talking about the Warburton Collection to community schoolchildren, October 2012.
Six Ngaanyatjarra schools from across the lands were part of an extensive program to introduce the collection,
the art glass facility and the Tjulyuru Exhibition Space to a new generation of Western Desert Aboriginal people."

Tjulyuru Exhibition Space

At the TES space in Warburton Ranges over the second half of 2012, we presented an edited version of Tu DI Shen Ti Our Land Our Body in 2011 in an exhibition as much for Ngaanyatjarra people as other visitors to the lands. Roughly one third of the paintings that went to China were shown and we used the China touring project to develop education programs to build capacity for community members in different ways. Many school and community based projects were undertaken while this show was open at TES, and this will further prepare future community leaders for the next tour when they visit China for the shows there in 2013-2014.

We are working towards a time when, wedded to the care of their culture, younger generations of Ngaanyatjarra people will enjoy opportunities for roles in arts management, tourism and hospitality, along with a sense of their world in an international context.
