Schools workshops, Dong Guan, China

写作于 Gary Proctor, Director ( 2013-06-23 10:00:00 )

Touring an exhibition this size in China is hard work at times but all of it's enjoyable; one of the best things is the education program and the school workshops. Each museum gets 550 colour booklets that give an overview of Ngaanyatjarra life as a background for the exhibition experience. We also made 80 pages of fully translated guide notes as a resource for teachers and museum staff along with draw up banners and posters of paintings with their stories. Once again our institutional partners at the Guancheng Art Museum helped with this, and their graphic design team especially were terrific working with us to find the best ways to communicate.

We did three schools reaching a total of nearly 800 children at Dong Guan. Highlights below.
